I’m Worried About Mum
I’m Sally and I created I’m Worried About Mum after a long career in social work.
I want to make sure that professional social work advice, information and support to access the social care system is accessible for everyone.
I provide professional social work support and a positive shoulder for anyone who’s worried about mum (or dad, family member or a friend) to lean on when taking the next steps to resolving difficult family issues. With over 20+ years of experience in social work I am able to draw on my knowledge to help my clients achieve the best possible care for their loved one.
My aim is to provide support and practical advice to families with elderly loved ones as I believe everyone should have access to the information for appropriate care. Whether it be a reassuring voice at the other end of the line that you’re doing the right thing, or practical advice for getting support in place, I am here for you every step of the way. Advice can be provided for any stage of care from future proofing to crisis mode or simply peace of mind from understanding more about the social care system. I’m based in Cheshire, but I can help anyone across the UK with advice on how best to move on with their loved one’s care.
I would also like to educate the community on dementia and other long-term illnesses removing stigma and showing that you can still have a full and independent life with the correct care and support.
If you know of, or you yourself are struggling with any of these issues please do not hesitate to get in touch, I would be more than happy to have a free, no obligation chat.
The difference between me and a local authority social worker?
We are both qualified and registered social workers, but I work directly with families with no referral process. This means you won’t have to wait in a queue of people or until things get ‘really bad’, you will have access to me straight away for a private, personal and all-inclusive process.
I have access to a wide range of services and work with other independent professionals so I am usually able to help you or at least send you in the right direction for your problems or queries. I pride myself in being an accessible resource to provide clear and compassionate advice in a range of scenarios.
